Suey

Damn Suey. I just had to fall sick on the second week of school. Not to mention missing  day of class as well. :( this sucks shit. The weather here is also killin me. I'm down with a a flu now and it's forever cold here. It's not as warm like it was when I arrived. Nose congested. I CAN'T BREATHE. It's raining outside now and I need to do my grocery shopping. *sobs* I can't go out on a weather like this. I miss my Myvi!!!!!!! Like in Malaysia wherever I go I would always use my car. Going wherever I want with a shelter on me, and without using so much energy.
Also the dumbass medication I bought at a convenient store ISN'T WORKING!!!

I miss Malaysia. Missing the heat. Especially in my current condition.

Belfast is so cold and wet. I only could walk wherever I go. :( Even getting a bike isn't even practical. Seniors told me it's really useless during the winter. You can't hold an umbrella when you're on a bike. You'd be soaking wet when you get into class.

Classes during the first 2 weeks; 2 foreign teachers and 2 local teachers (local as in Irish local). It caught me by surprise when I found out that my English teacher isn't local. She speaks in some European accent. Hopefully everything goes fine though.

I'm starting to have doubts with my choices. Starting to wonder if I'm having the right choice. I'm already struggling on my first Finance class. and also, my finance teacher is frm BeiJing. CHINA. what impresses me is that she speaks english pretty well
but finance. *sigh*I can't survive when my teacher doesn't start frm the basics. I was a Science student before i came here. I can't be thrown into a pond this fast :(

Ohgod please help me :(

I just need to let it out now. :( not in a good condition at the moment.

UK

This has by far the biggest step I've took in my entire life.
I've furthered my studies in the United Kingdom to pursue my degree in Finance at Queens University of Belfast.
It was a big big big big mistake to continue science during A levels cause. Should have trusted my instincts by going for commerce subjects when I signed up for A-levels in Inti.

I arrived Belfast around 1.00-ish yesterday. The weather here is really really nice during daytime but freezing as hell in the night. I actually woke up at like 3.30 am due to jet lag issues :((( I barely had enough sleep but somehow I just woke up like that.

Transiting in Changi.

Transiting in Heathrow airport in London. It's just so damn sad that I couldn't step outside the airport. I really really wanted to see London :((

London's Pride's Hot Chocolate

Belfast is surprisingly beautiful. I've heard from friends saying apprently there is "nothing" in Belfast.
Turns out it's more happening than I thought it would be.

All nice bricked and brown buildings. Reminds me how dull and unappealing Malaysia is.

Queens Uni. My home for the next 4 years.

My apologies for the ridiculously ugly and messy kind of pic. :D yup this is my room. Comes with my own tiny bathroom as well

This is all very very new to me. I find it really hard to interact with the locals and other foreigners as well. Surprisingly I've met quite a number of Malaysians haha. Some frm Penang as well.

Wish me luck. This could get rough.

TWG

I love the environment here. I took so many pictures and I'm really really eager to upload them on Instagram but I thought maybe it might be a huge spam to other people's newsfeed hahha. I got them nicely filtered and edited. So pic spam

I personally do not like macaroons that much. I find them too sweet. But my sister insisted that we all try the macaroons since it's recommended by her friends or something :\

The food was good too. But too bad I didn't snap any pics :( but the portion was kinda small. Fine dining isn't really my style. We were so damn chapalang in such a high class restaurant. Hahaah.

Expensive though. They don't use tea bags. So sadly, no refills.

That's it. This is just a random short one. bye!

5S

I've changed to an iPhone 5S. My iPhone 4 is getting so damn laggy that I keep facing so many problems while making phone calls and surfing the net.
I know whoever who is reading this might think why didn't I just wait for iPhone 6 to release then only change to a new phone. well guess what, I have a perfectly good explanation for that. Stay tuned for my upcoming post.

The camera is really really good. Really has DSLR standard. plus, using the VSCO cam app I could edit my photos that gives a really nice feel to it hahaha.

Ben's Berific Sundae. I prefer this one over the macadamia cheesecake sundae cause' I LOVE BERRIES :P

Dog spam, I really love taking pics of Roxy these days. I'll explain why soon.

Sam's Groceria finally opened at Straits Quay. Compared to Tesco they have a lot of imported goods. Stuff that we usuallt couldn't really get in typical local super markets. and I've never seen so many spices laid out like this in my life. Don't judge me. I just felt so damn fascinated.

Caffe Bene's BINGSU. just opened in Gurney Paragon last week. So packed with people. I have to say their green tea ice cream is really really good. You can't see it in the picture cause the ice cream is inside the whipped cream

Nose.

Gosh, even after A levels I'm still this busy.
I took up a part-time job in Nose, Gurney Plaza. A shoe store. Not really desperate for the money, but just to gain some experience before I go overseas..AAANNNDDD also to avoid myself from rotting everyday at home.

FIRST OF ALL, being a sales promoter SUCKS BIG TIME. I had to assist customers just like that without no experience whatsoever. I don't really interact with random strangers that often la let's put it this way. It was kind of nerve-wrecking for me cause I'm not really very familiar with the store and how they organize their shoes. I've had hard time looking for shoes and took a lot of time looking for them. Felt really bad that I had to let my customer  wait just because I can't look for those damn shoes.

But it didn't turn out so bad after all in a week or so. I've gotten used to the place and one of my colleague taught me how to help out at the cashier. One of what I've been looking forward to all week long. I'm always curious how it feels like to receive money from customers and pressing all kinds of buttons and the drawer of cash just pops out like that. HEHEH.

At times, it gets boring. Especially in the morning where not a lot of people would come to the mall. Most of the time I had to assist tourists during the weekdays. And dealing with a lot of weird people sad to say.
Sometimes it could go on for hours where not a single customer would walk into the store. It was kinda sad how the business turned out though. Nose used to be really good back in my secondary school days. Not to mention the shoes were really good in quality. Now the quality of their shoes kind of deteriorated. They had to take out all the old stocks to put them up for sale.
what I find really annoying is that they don't have shoes in stock. whenever a customer wants a certain shoe of their size, not every time i am able to get them the size they want. AND I FEEL SO  BAD. Also could see the disappointment on their faces. :(

It's my last week here now. I need some enjoy time before my A level results come out. I think I won't be able to sleep the night before my results are even out.
Really gonna miss the place. I've met great people (and also bad people >:( )

Food Porn

Discovered that I took a lot of photos of food and I've done nothing to it. So I might as well just make this post a little edible :D
My apologies for those who are reading these in the middle of the night. hehe.

Daorae's free flow of Kimchi
No doubt that most Kpop fans have already been here. Best and most authentic Korean cuisine you can find in Penang. Although I haven't been chasing Kpop lately, but I do love Korean the food. :D

Brew Thirty Two House Coffee's Carbonara
I have been having a lot of Carbonaras before I finished my A-levels. Especially when I'm under stress and when I "needed" something unhealthy to eat. Yeah, sad to say, I crave for a lot of junk food when under a lot of stress.

Ben's MACADAMIA CHEESECAKE SUNDAE
THIS THIS THIS IS SINFUL.(which also explains all the capital lettering)  and it's always out of stock. There were a few times I went there just to have this and they ran out of stock. This is a must try.

Gusto Cafe's some bacon burger. Sorry I can't remember the name

another constant craving while I was having exams. There are a few burger joints nearby my college and we would always drop by to have burgers for lunch. Made me real fat though. I wasn't a big fan of burger until end of last year when I tried a burger at Ric's.
Some chicken pie at AHMO,(Burma Square)
This, was a little bit disappointing though. But the pastry is really good I must say.

STARBUCKS' MOCHA
Need I say more? I'm cutting down on Starbucks already since it's kind of expensive and also quite fattening. :( sad

Coffee Elements' Affogato
Taking me back to my studying days. I used to go to Coffee Elements to study together with my other college mates.See all the stationery around? hehe. Also a good studying environment  Kinda miss it now. This is the only coffee (not really sure if this is classified as a beverage) that could keep me awake.

Not a lot of words written for today. No inspiration for me to write long long paragraphs today. :(

The Big Bad Wolf Sale.

This post is for all of you bookworms. Tee hee.

Got these awesome books from the Big Bad Wolf Sale at Penang Times Square a month back. I think it was during my semester break if I'm not mistaken. Books there were like super super cheap. Surprisingly the best sellers majority of the good books costed me like rm 8. The best part is, I got my 1Malaysia book vouchers like I got from last year. So I bought all these plus a few other cookbooks for my sister using the voucher worth rm 100 and ended up paying the balance in cash that costed me rm 4. I literally picked out like a mad person at the sale. Getting dilemmas on which book to buy cause' there were really a lot of good books to choose from. I went to Popular the week after and discovered that some of the same books I bought actually costed like rm38 there. I was like: wow this sale rocks .

A-levels over and I finally have that freedom to start reading good books like the olden days again. These books were just sitting in that drawer untouched while I'm going through exams.Currently reading Jodi Picoult's The Pact. I know she wrote a lot of good books and ended up as best sellers but I never really read any of them in the past cause I watched My Sister's Keeper which made me little depressed. But neh, thought maybe I'd go for something different for a change.

I am a super super huge fan of Sophie Kinsella though. I read a lot of her books. I haven't read Wedding Night though. My sister has it. I think it'll take a while since I have a huge pile here to be finished reading.

A-Levels - DONE.

Hey everybodeh. A-LEVELS ARE FINALLY OVER FOR ME!
yes I have to admit I am super relieved! The past 6 months was hell for me. The outbreaks on my face, my constant cravings for food and most of all, the stress.
ALL.OVER. Except for the food cravings of course. hehe. Which reminds me due to the past 6 months of non stop eating due to the stress I've put on some weight already. Getting fat. REAL FAT.

So I spend the last day of my A-levels going to Butterworth for some the famous Tom Yam for the very first time along with my other college mates,

Joo Heng Tom Yam, Raja Uda
NomNomNom.
The best part is, you could pick out your own ingredients, for a really cheap price as well. *Thumbs Up*

Went over to Gathers Cafe, also along Raja Uda to chill and have desert, its just not all the time that I always happen to have room for desert.

Beary Rum Espresso.
Such cuteness! It's just too cute to not eat it. GAH.

My Mocha.

HOWEVER,
this little incident happened to us on that night, 8 of us were talking and laughing away for almost 2 hours already. And all of the sudden, the boss came and told us and not to mention in a very rude way, saying that if we continue to make a lot of noise he would ask us to pay the bill and get us to leave. like DUDE, WHAT THE HELL.
It is certainly unnecessary to talk to us so rudely like that, if you were to tell us nicely and politely we would have understood that. BUT NO!
Clearly this isn't like a cafe. It's more like a library instead.
And also, what kind of cafe doesn't allow customers to make a little bit of noise. You know when the louder your cafe is the more business you'll get.

Their Facebook page even made a status update about saying how noisy we were. Like please. It's like a teenager backstabbing about others on the internet. Just pure childishness.

We're not the only ones. Based on a little bit of research there were also complaints from other customers.

Sure, your coffee art is adorable but based on the boss' behavior like that there won't be a second time setting foot onto that cafe for me.

Some of the rules here are just, weird.

Okay I'm done with my rant.
To all those still taking A level exams around the world I wish you all the best of luck.

2014 Awaits

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Fireworks at Straits Quay's new year countdown. Sucky sucky picture. The whole place was packed with people that it took us such a long time to find a place to sit. But it was super super worth it after watching the fireworks. *thumbs up*

Let's see.. I think I should do a slight flashback on what happened during 2013. You know, just a little reminiscing on stuff that happened last year. ("last year " was only 2 days ago. :'(  )

1. I've started college
Took me quite a while to get myself accustomed the environment and also new people around me but it all got better at some point. Also gave me one hell of a time studying for A levels. Just a bit nervous for my upcoming AS results.

2. I've got my very own car.
Super super grateful for having loving parents to buy one brand spanking new Myvi. It has served me well throughout these six months. Despite my horrible horrible driving at first.

3. Dyed my hair.
Which was a whole new experience for me when I dyed the first time in end 2012. Ended up dying my hair 3 times all together throughout the year to settle my roots and the color fading problem.

This color was by far the most satisfying for me.
But why does it have to fadeeeeeee. Seriously someone should come up with a new hair dye that doesn't fade. like AT ALL.

4. Experienced my first car accident.
AccidentS, actually. In my college parking lot, the streets, along pavements, you name it.
Majority of them are just minor ones like getting scratches on my car.

5. I've attended my first prom.
Very very new experience for me. HAHA! Since I went to an all girls chinese school back then and there's no such thing called PROM for us.

6. Sang a duet
during prom.

6. Went for a family portrait photo shoot with the Wongs.
As mentioned in the previous post.

2014 awaits.

Have a great year ahead guys.
