I know I'm already late for this, but MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE. Christmas was really awesome this year, not only all my relatives came back to Penang from KL and Seremban and Australia, moments were spent together like it's a once in a lifetime experience.
As usual I spend my Christmas every year with my mother's side of the family. My mom has like 10 siblings so on special occasions every year it's super super lau juak. The best part is I get to see all my cousins. I dont get to see them often regardless that some of them actually stay in penang cause' some of them either live outside Penang, or we're just very very busy with school and work.
My world with my cousins is completely different compared to my world with my friends. Since I come from a family that uses English as mother tongue (including my father's side of the family), hanging out with my cousins can be completely different compared to my friends who speaks 100% Chinese.
Interests can be different when you speak in different languages. Back then before I had more friends I was like according my friends , very very ANG MOH who doesn't really listen to chinese songs/korean songs(anything asian in general) I feel very left out at times, cause I can't really keep up with the conversation. Cause it could be hard to share your own interests with other people from a different background than yours.
Eventually I got influenced by the others by listening to more Korean songs and a little bit of Chinese songs. That's mainly how I managed to improve my social life. and also to widen my interests lol
BUT, I still don't wanna give up my Ang Moh side though. xD
Christmas Eve
My uncle had his wedding with only close family members, not like those big weddings where you meet all the weird relatives you've never met before. It's better this way, if you'd ask me. Saves a lot of money too.
Outfit theme for the night : Kebaya
Lol my sister is so awkward in the picture, the only one out of place haha.
Back then, my grandmother opens a shop and makes Kebaya as a business. If I'm not mistaken i think all the Kebaya worn above are all made by my grandma. All of my aunties including my mom have to rush to my grandma's shop to help her out everyday after school.
Thank God, I have Amelia who didn't wear Kebaya with me. Cause' we both don't have one xD
